Hurley Leaves KKGO: Mt. Wilson KKGO/Los Angeles morning host Tim Hurley has departed, announcing the move in a Jan. 31 social media video. He tells Country Aircheck he was "not part of their vision for the future ... I will miss sharing the mornings with our listeners, but look forward to continuing our relationship outside of radio through live events, concerts and festivals." Hurley was a local singer/songwriter who joined KKGO in July 2019 (CAT 6/3/19), first teamed with Angie Fitzsimmons, then Adam Bookbinder, and most recently hosting the show solo since last June (CAT 6/28/24). Reach Hurley here. KKGO owner Saul Levine is seeking applicants for the position who "think big." Apply to Levine's assistant, Lydia Silva, here, or call (310) 478-5540.

In related news, after almost four years as part of the airstaff at KKGO, artist Drew Baldridge ceased his weekend show there at the beginning of the year. He joined the KKGO team in 2021 as host of a show that aired 9am-2pm Saturdays and Sundays (CAT 2/1/21), as well as a weekly podcast for the station. Levine calls the change "an internal realignment; he was great."
