CRS Panel Focuses On Mental Health
Fixed Assets: Mental health was the focus of Thursday morning’s CRS session “Protect Your Assets: 20 Micro Actions For Resilience." When stress overwhelms, Entertainment and Health Services Pres. Elizabeth Porter suggested disconnecting from devices and engaging in physical activity like a walk in order to “reset." WLHK/Indianapolis PD Sean Copeland makes every Sunday a “disconnect day” where he leaves his phone in another room. Asked about stress red flags not to ignore, Porter said, “Listen to your body. If it’s starting to give out on you, don’t try to power through. Give it some grace and get some rest.” Avant Haus Media CEO Christina Barsi suggested paying attention to what part of your work is draining vs. energizing, and work to strike a healthier balance between the two.
