I Can Take It From There: Black River is partnering with Akando Music for radio promotion. Their first release will be Chris Young's "I Didn't Come Here To Leave," impacting mid-June. "Chris Young is one of the most consistent hit makers in our format for the last decade," says Triple Tigers/Akando VP/Promo Raffaella Braun. "We are excited to represent him and his music to Country radio." Black River SVP/Promotion Bill Macky, Midwest regional Joe Carroll and West Coast rep Jim Malito exited last week as part of a restructuring (CAT 4/13). Akando launched last summer (CAT 6/16/25).
