Thomas To Taiwan
Taipei Way: Veteran programmer Brian Thomas, who relocated to Taipei, Taiwan last October, has joined the island's only English-language radio station, ICRT (International Community Radio Taipei), as Programming Asst. and host of a new country music program, Country Club, to air at a yet-to-be-determined time on the block-programmed station. "Country music hasn’t had a home on Taiwan radio since the passing of Bob Kingsley, host of American Country Countdown," says GM Tim Berge. "We’re excited to change that." ICRT operates on five signals covering most of the island's population of 24 million. Thomas' stateside experience includes national programming roles at Townsquare and Entercom and VP/Prog. roles at CBS Radio and Cumulus. Reach him here.
