UMGN's Hughes Leaving
UMGN's Hughes Leaving: UMG/Nashville Dir./Radio Marketing Donna Hughes is leaving her label home of 13 years May 29. “I love and adore my UMG Nashville team that I have been lucky to be a part of for many years,” Hughes tells Country Aircheck. “I am eternally grateful; and to my badass friends at UMG and the artists I have been privileged to represent over the last 13 years — it’s truly been an honor to work with the best in the business. Going forward, I am looking to explore other challenges in the business I love.”
Handling Hughes' duties in the interim after May 29 are UMGN VP/Promotion & Strategy David Friedman and Dir./Promotion & Radio Marketing Nick Kaper. Hughes joined Capitol/EMI as Nat. Dir./Radio Syndication in June 2011 and became part of the UMGN family when it absorbed the Capitol and EMI imprints in Oct. 2012. Other producing and writing stops include GAC Nights, Premiere, Crook & Chase, AOL’s The Boot and Music City Tonight. Reach her here until May 29, then here.
