KBAY/San Jose Moving To 'Bigger Signal'
At Bay: As reported yesterday (7/8) via Breaking News, Connoisseur is selling its 94.5 frequency in San Jose, home of Country KBAY, to Christian broadcaster K-Love for $2 million, while retaining the station's call letters and intellectual property. Without revealing specific plans, OM J. Love tells Country Aircheck, "We're getting a bigger signal, which is an awesome thing for us." KBAY simulcasts on 92.1 (KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA). Connoisseur also owns Hot AC KEZR in the market, and acquired four stations in nearby San Francisco from Bonneville in May (AC KOIT, Urban AC KBLX, Top 40 KMVQ and Classic Rock KUFX). The 94.5 frequency sale is expected to close in early fall.
