Audacy Contesting Fine:
The FCC has issued a fine of $14,000 against Audacy for rules violations in a nationwide contest. The national cash contest ran in March and April 2021 on 194 stations, and was supposed to award a total of 297 prizes of $1,000. After investigating a complaint, the Commission found that in some cases, a part-time employee charged with selecting winners at random never did so, and that employee's manager had not provided proper oversight to ensure winners were selected in a timely manner.
