Philpott Departs: Cumulus Appleton-Oshkosh, WI OM Jay Philpott has exited the five-station cluster, which includes Country WPKR. Formerly Cumulus Oldies WGVX/Minneapolis PD/on-air talent, Philpott re-joined the company in his most recent role in 2023 (CAT 5/4/23); his departure comes amid widespread Cumulus downsizing. Philpott's prior stops include Atlanta, Baltimore, St. Louis and Milwaukee. He shared in a Facebook post, "I like working in radio, and have for 50 years (this month!) ...
