Chronicle: Former Forever WFGS/Murray, KY air personality and salesperson Brittany Overbee (on air as Emmy Green) died Sept. 4 at the age of 42 after being shot in her home Aug. 17, allegedly by her husband. Gayle Hill, a 2019 Source Hall of Fame inductee, died Aug. 18 at her home in Ashland City, TN at the age of 90. After three years working for Nashville producer Glen Sutton, she formed G Hill & Company in 1973, a PR agency that also produced jingles, including Dottie West’s “Country Sunshine” for Coca-Cola. Hill seved on the boards of CMA and NARAS (now the Recording Academy). A Celebration of Life will be held Sept. 26 at 1:30pm at 1025 Ed Burgess Road in Ashland City. The family requests memorial donations to Alive Hospice.
