Yellow Roses: The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce has declared Sept. 25 "Dolly Day," a citywide celebration of Dolly Parton (details here). Among the activities:

• At 5pm, participating music venues across the city will host live performances of “9 To 5” on their stages.
• Restaurants, coffee shops and bars will offer Parton-inspired food and drink specials, with proceeds benefiting charity.
• Attractions and venues are encouraged to direct proceeds to charity, joining the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, which is donating $9.25 of all admissions that day to Parton’s Imagination Library, and Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk, which is donating all Sept. 25 proceeds to the Nashville Public Library and Imagination Library.
• The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will host daylong Parton-themed activities, including a free scrreening of "9 To 5" in its CMA Theater at 7pm.
• Businesses are encouraged to light up their buildings in pink.
• A brief fireworks show in downtown Nashville concludes the day at 9:25pm.
