Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame Inducts Six
Today Was A Fairytale: The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame added six new members at its annual gala last night (10/26), when Shawn Camp, Bruce Channel, Lyle Lovett, Lee Thomas Miller, Taylor Swift and the late J.I. Allison were inducted. George Strait was honored with the Career Maker Award for having recorded 264 songs written or co-written by NaSHoF members. All of the living honorees were on hand to accept, offering thoughtful, poignant and often humorous speeches that followed musical tributes from Lainey Wilson, Emmylou Harris, Kathy Mattea, Jamey Johnson and others. Presenters included Kix Brooks, Brad Paisley, Randy Owen and Jim Lauderdale. Look for full coverage in next Monday's Country Aircheck Weekly.
