Former BMI VP/Writer-Publisher Relations Roger Sovine passed Dec. 23. Sovine retired from BMI in 2001 following two stints there. He also held positions at publishing companies Cedarwood, Welk Music Group and Tree International. A celebration of life will be held Jan. 5 at 3pm at BMI (10 Music Square East, Nashville), with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alive Hospice or Nashville Classical West Charter School, where an arts endowment will be established in his honor. See Sovine's full obituary here.
